Minimum configuration for Windows Vista
informatique
Windows 3.1, Windows 95, 98, NT, Millenium, 2000, XP and others ...
The next version will be Windows Vista and is expected since a loooong time by windows addicts. And the press.
First foreseen for 2005, Microsoft now speaks about middle of next year. Betas versions were spread, this is why we can see many screenshots on the Internet.
A month ago, Microsoft opened a website dedicated to this new OS, where we can read the minimum configuration to run this monster.
Minimum Requirements (Vista-Capable PCs):
processor 800 MHz Intel-compatibleRecommended Requirements (Premium-Ready PCs):
512MB RAM (system memory)
DirectX 9.0-Capable
Graphics processor
20GB of hard drive capacity
processor 1 GHz 32bits (x86) or 64bits (x64) Intel-compatible
1GB of RAM (system memory)
DirectX 9.0-Capable
Graphics processor with 128MB to support a resolution 1920x1200
40GB of hard drive capacity with 15GB free space !
What's the difference between those 2 configurations?
The first one is capable to run Windows Vista but not the new user interface called Aero. And to be honest, that's the only relevance in Vista.
