Tac, Intel presents the Robson technology : a series of mobile platforms using this technology and others to speed up the boot-time of the PC and of the applications. Another advantage : it increases the autonomy of the battery.
The PC boots on a non-volatile flash memory (NAND).

During an Intel's show, the laptop "Robson certified" started immediately !
Adobe Reader started in 0.4 seconds and Quick Time in 2.9 seconds.

cubic.com announces that Samsung and Microsoft will present, at the end of this month, a finale version of an hybrid hard disk that also speed up the boot-time of computers.
